Hard bond adhesives create a rigid, point of fusion bond between the hair unit and the hair stubble around the perimeter. Made for professional application, they hold through long wear cycles and stay off the skin.

What is a hard bond adhesive?

Hard bond is an acrylic style adhesive that cures rigid and bonds the unit to a short band of hair stubble, around 1/8 inch, along the perimeter. It is the strongest hold available and is applied by a trained stylist.

Does hard bond touch the skin?

Hard bond adhesives are made to bond to hair stubble, with the adhesive never applied to the skin. Hair is shaved short where the perimeter will sit, and the bond forms between the base and that stubble.

How is a hard bond applied?

Protect the base with a barrier tape such as Red Liner along the perimeter, apply small amounts of hard bond to the stubble, and press the unit in place one section at a time. The point of fusion sets fast, so work in small areas.

Which hard bond should I choose?
