3M 1522 clear tape is a medical grade, hypoallergenic double sided tape for daily wear of hair units. Gentle on sensitive skin and easy to remove, it comes in rolls, straight strips, contoured front and back strips and curved strips.

3M 1522 is a good fit for clients with sensitive skin and for anyone who removes the unit every day. The adhesive is hypoallergenic and latex free, and it leaves little residue at removal.

How long does 3M clear tape hold?

It is designed for daily wear, so plan to replace it each day. For a hold that lasts several weeks, see Geobond Tapes or Lace Tape.

Can I combine 3M clear tape with other adhesives?

3M clear tape works best on its own. Layering it with liquid adhesives or other tapes weakens the bond and makes cleanup harder, so apply it directly between a clean base and a clean scalp.

Which bases does it work on?

It works on skin and poly bases and on the poly perimeter of lace and mono units. Choose contoured front strips for the hairline and rolls or straight strips for the sides and back.
