The X20 Routine

The NX-Gen Effects scalp prep paired with X20, a gentle bond made for sensitive skin. Follow the five steps in order at every application.

1. Cleanse

Remove the hair system, then gently shampoo the scalp with NX-Gen Effects Rinse Away, a scalp cleanser that also removes most types of bond residue. Rinse, and repeat if needed.

2. Exfoliate

Massage Deep Recovery X-FO Gel into the scalp where the adhesive will be applied. It lifts dead skin cells and debris, leaving the scalp and hair thoroughly clean. Rinse well.

Apply a thin coat of X20 Unifying Agent, a non-toxic, non-flammable, water based bond that is ideal for sensitive skin. Let it dry until clear before adding the next layer, and build up gradually with each coat.

Thin coats give the strongest hold.

Spread each coat evenly with an X20 Sponge. The closed cell foam keeps the adhesive on the scalp and out of the sponge; cut away the used area to reuse a wedge.
