What is the difference between PermaRite 18 Extreme XL and PermaRite 16 Extreme?

Both are water-based hair system adhesives for full-head or perimeter bonding. PermaRite 18 Extreme XL has a creamier, thicker consistency with extra moisture protection and higher heat resistance. That makes it a good fit for oily scalps, humid climates and heavy perspiration. PermaRite 16 Extreme is a firm but pliable gel for everyday multi-week wear.

How long does PermaRite 18 Extreme XL last?

PermaRite 18 Extreme XL is designed for extended wear, with holds of up to about four weeks. Wear time varies with scalp prep, oil production and activity level. Apply thin, even coats and allow each coat to dry clear before seating the system.

Is PermaRite 18 Extreme XL safe for sensitive skin?

It's formulated without latex or harsh solvents. Everyone should still patch-test, because skin reacts differently to any adhesive. Apply a small amount behind the ear, cover it, and wait 24 hours before a full application. Stop using it if irritation develops.

Which hair system bases work with PermaRite 18 Extreme XL, and how do I remove it?

It's intended for polyurethane (skin) bases, lace systems and combination bases, applied to the scalp and not directly onto lace. When it's time to take the system off, let a matching adhesive solvent from our removers collection soak in, then lift the system gently.
