Achieve a secure hair system application with our Red Liner Tape. This double-sided adhesive tape provides dependable hold for hair systems.

The tape is easy to cut and apply, making it ideal for creating customized adhesive strips around the perimeter of a wig or hair system. Its strong adhesive helps keep the unit securely in place while maintaining a clean and professional finish.

Cómo usar

Following a clean application process extends hold time and prevents premature lifting:
Step 1: Prep the Scalp & Base
Ensure both your scalp and the system base are 100% clean, dry, and free of oils or old adhesive residue.

Step 2: Apply the Tape to the Unit
Unroll the tape or select your pre-cut contour strip. Press the sticky side firmly along the poly perimeter or tape tabs of your hair system. Smooth out any air bubbles with your thumb to ensure full contact.

Step 3: Peel the Red Liner
Carefully peel off the red paper backing to reveal the clear, double-sided adhesive layer underneath. Avoid touching the exposed tape face with your fingers to preserve its adhesive strength.

Step 4: Apply adhesive or tape
Apply liquid adhesive or extended bonding tape to the Red Liner bonding barrier.

Step 5: Position & Secure
Align your system with your natural hairline and press down firmly around all taped areas for 10–15 seconds to lock the bond in place.

Preguntas frecuentes

What is Red Liner hair system tape?

Red Liner Tape is a clear, double-sided hair system tape known for its low residue and clean removal. It's designed for polyurethane (poly/skin) hair systems and poly perimeters. The "red" is only the protective liner you peel off; the tape itself is transparent. It's available in rolls, contours and straight strips.

How long does Red Liner Tape hold?

Red Liner Tape has a hold time of 1 to 7 days, which makes it a good fit for daily-to-weekly wear. Your actual hold time depends on skin oiliness, sweat, activity level and climate. For the strongest bond, prep the scalp and the base of the hair system with 99% alcohol and let it evaporate completely before applying.

Is Red Liner Tape shiny? Can I use it on a lace front?

Yes, Red Liner Tape has a slight shine, which makes it ideal under poly-based hair systems and along poly perimeters. It isn't recommended for an exposed lace front hairline, where shine can show. For an undetectable lace front, use a no-shine liquid adhesive like Dermalace Plus.

Is Red Liner Tape daily wear or extended wear?

Red Liner Tape is a short-to-medium wear tape (1 to 7 days). It's built for wearers who want a secure hold with clean removal and minimal residue. If you need a hold longer than a week, an extended-wear hair system tape is the better choice. Red Liner can also be used as a protective base layer under liquid adhesive on poly systems.
